Our food pantry is a community-funded organization that has been running since 2001. We work with local businesses and individuals in and around Fort Kent to provide the necessary funding to keep the pantry open, put food on our shelves, and help the food-insecure in our communities. Some of our partners include Good Shepherd Food Bank, Hannaford, Johns, United Way, and Community Foundation. We are also supported by various food supply, food drive, volunteer, and funding groups.

GOAL:

Working together to eliminate hunger in our local communities...... ensuring no family goes without a meal.

MISSION:

The pantry is dedicated to serving the food insecure of Fort Kent and the surrounding communities of St John, St Francis, Allagash, Daigle, Wallagrass, and Eagle Lake. The pantry is a ministry that honors the dignity of each person, treating each other with compassion. 

THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The GFKEFP Board of Directors is composed of individuals from the communities the pantry serves.  The board meets quarterly.
